When a struggling musician returns to Los Angeles during the weekend of his ex-girlfriend's father's funeral hoping to win her back, a chaotic house party, stolen cocaine, and escalating tensions with her volatile brother spiral into a night of violence that forces everyone to confront the difference between love and selfishness. At its core, this story is about how love without accountability becomes destructive. Every major character claims to act out of love, but their actions are driven by ego, fear, control, or avoidance rather than responsibility and emotional maturity. Ty tries to force his way back into Mara's life while numbing his pain with drugs, Joel expresses love through dominance and overprotection, and Mara avoids confrontation instead of setting firm boundaries. The chaos that unfolds is not caused by a lack of care, but by unhealthy expressions of it. Ultimately, the story suggests that real love requires accountability, restraint, and growth, and that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is let someone go. Ty's decision to walk away marks the first truly selfless and mature choice he makes, reinforcing the idea that growth begins when ego ends and responsibility is finally accepted. Escape from Beverly Hills is the story of a struggle against a skewed system and against all odds — a theme which echoes policies and attitudes afflicting so many immigrants in the US and around the world. A microcosm for socioeconomic inequality, the relationship between Hope and Brett explores the lives of two young people from different cultures and social classes as they unexpectedly fall in love, representing an idealistic vision of the world. Todd, the antagonist, is the voice of reason, even if this reason is ruthless, calculating, and hard for people to digest. He represents the cold truth of the American dream: capitalism, self preservation, and survival of the fittest. Confronted with important life changing decisions, will these young people chose to make sacrifices for one another, or will the social forces dividing them be too strong to overcome and drive them to callously abandon each other in pursuit of self preservation? When Hope realizes that the idyllic world of Beverly Hills is just a facade for a class of dysfunctional, privileged few, she has to fight for her life and escape the one place she always dreamed of being a part of, turning her American dream into an American nightmare.

Militancy is centered around a Bed-Stuy born and raised Pan-African community organizer, Eric, and his ecosystem — roommates, friends, organizers — all in their mind twenties, whose lives embody the tension between revolutionary commitment and everyday survival. As militant, politically conscious Africans, they navigate the intersecting pressures of state repression, gentrification, and the daily grind of capitalism, all while contending with the contradictions of love, friendship, and the personal costs of struggle. Central to their praxis is Stoop Politics, a weekly podcast recorded from the stoop of their Brooklyn apartment, a space where political theory meets lived experience, where community dialogue becomes a tool of resistance, and where they wrestle with what it truly means to be uncompromisingly African in a world built on our dispossession. Militancy shadows the lives of four Bed-Stuy–born Pan-African organizers — Huey, Kim, Jamila, and Musa — each in their early thirties, each carrying a conviction that feels as dangerous as it is necessary. Their days are a tightrope walk between revolutionary duty and the fragile choreography of survival, as if every choice they make is being quietly recorded by forces they can't quite name. They move through a Brooklyn that feels rigged against them — state eyes lurking at the edges, gentrification swallowing the block one building at a time, capitalism grinding their bones into dust — while still struggling to keep their relationships, their loyalty, and their own sanity intact. Every bond they hold comes with a cost; every dream they chase feels like it might be the last one they're allowed. At the center of their world is Stoop Politics, the weekly podcast they record from the cracked stoop of their building — a place that once felt safe, but now feels exposed, like a stage someone else built for them. It's where sharpened political theory collides with raw lived truth, where neighbors drift in and out with whispers, warnings, and stories that never leave the block. It is also where the four confront the hardest question haunting their lives: what does it mean to remain unwaveringly African, defiantly themselves, inside a society designed to erase them? This is an Afro-leftist, liberationist, anti-Western, anti-state propaganda series meant for cultural workers who want to make art for African (Black) people. It is a lo/no budget production shot mostly guerrilla style in the 3rd Cinema tradition. Each episode runs under five minutes. The initial rollout features five pilot episodes centering the podcast, then another five episodes with each one introducing one or two of the main characters offering intimate glimpses into their political consciousness, contradictions, and collective vision for liberation. Filming takes place at Herbert Von King Park, Brooklyn, New York.
