Project Summary
This production follows a group of finite people, each with an infinite appetite, gathering to search for a way beyond the limits of the human condition. Across Adam Guettel's score, myth and hymn become two different ways of confronting the unknowable. The songs ask whether the distances between people, bodies, faith, work, death, and uncertainty can ever truly be overcome, and what it means to keep living when no answer arrives. The production opens January 15, 2027 and closes January 17, 2027 at Chain Theater in New York, New York.
