Project Summary
FX has ordered a crime drama pilot starring Havana Rose Liu, helmed by Emmy-winning director Hiro Murai and developed from an original story by Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar Wai. Charles Yu and Julia Cho wrote the script about a small-time criminal whose unexpected inheritance of a corporate stake plunges her into a dangerous world of extreme wealth and elite power players. Murai directs and executive produces alongside Yu, Cho, Wong, Carver Karaszewski, Claudia Shin, Kate Dean, and Paul Schwartzman. Searchlight Television and FX Productions are producing the still-untitled pilot, which begins filming in Bangkok later this month. The project reunites several major creative voices, with Murai fresh off a record-breaking 14 Emmy wins for his Apple TV series Widow's Bay.
