Project Summary
Artemis Fowl is heading to Disney Channel and Disney+ as a new animated series, greenlit following the announcement at New York Comic-Con during the franchise's 25th anniversary celebration. Author Eoin Colfer will executive produce alongside Emmy and Annie Award winner Ben Juwono, known for Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and Big Hero 6: The Series, and Colleen Evanson, whose credits include DuckTales and Monsters at Work. The action-adventure fantasy series follows the titular 13-year-old genius as he discovers a secret world of armed, dangerous, and surprisingly high-tech fairies, launching a plan to capture one and steal its magic to heal his dying mother and save his family. With Colfer's direct creative involvement, the series aims to dig deeper into the characters and mythology of the beloved book franchise that has sold more than 35 million copies worldwide. Disney has not yet announced a premiere date or voice cast as the project enters development.
