Project Summary
Cooking Grandmas is a primetime cooking competition heading into production for TV8's 2026/2027 season. Produced by Banijay Italia and commissioned by Sky Italia, the format features ten grandmothers from across Italy competing in culinary challenges that range from traditional regional recipes to haute cuisine and street food. Celebrity chef Alessandro Borghese serves as judge and mentor, joined by rotating guest judges each episode. The show combines cooking competition with reality elements, as contestants share a rustic farmhouse location throughout filming. Banijay Entertainment is showcasing the format at Mipcom 2026 for international distribution. The working title may still change before the show's primetime debut on TV8.
