While Everything Falls

While Everything Falls (Afuera Todo Arde) is a feature film in development from Peruvian filmmaker Sami Hawka. The political drama follows two members of a polyamorous triad who marry to keep up appearances in a conservative rural community, but flee to the capital after their relationship is exposed by their third lover. There, they encounter women leading the political resistance and discover that their fight for personal freedom connects to broader struggles for Indigenous rights and economic equality under a fictionalized dictatorship. The Madrid-based filmmaker's project is being developed by Peruvian production company FILMA+ as an international co-production with Peru, Spain, and Chile. After being selected for the Vancouver International Film Festival's Business Hub Co-Productions Forum and the Queer Palm Lab at Cannes, the project is now pursuing international co-production partners and funding, with casting currently open.
