Project Summary
Cyclovia is a feature-length documentary from BAFTA-winning director Finlay Pretsell currently in post-production. The film was shot across five regions of Colombia, weaving together intimate stories of freedom, life, and love through the lens of cycling culture. John Leguizamo has recently joined as executive producer, bringing his passion for Latin excellence to the project. The international co-production is led by Parcel of Rogues in Scotland, with producing partners Casatarantula in Colombia, Real Lava in Denmark, and Story AB in Sweden—the same team behind acclaimed documentaries The Look of Silence, A House Made of Splinters, and Alis. The project is backed by broadcaster commitments from SVT Sweden and YLE Finland, with support from Screen Scotland, the Swedish Film Institute, Film i Väst, AVEK, and the Finnish Film Foundation. Pretsell, known for his previous cycling documentary Time Trial, has been developing this project for several years, capturing the transformative power of the bicycle in Colombian society.
