Project Summary
Garota da Urca is a new feature film from acclaimed Brazilian director Marcelo Gomes, reuniting stars Rodrigo Santoro and Camila Pitanga as a married couple navigating a relationship crisis as they approach 50. The screenplay is written by Leonardo Moreira and Luciana Paes, with production from Matizar Filmes and Misti Filmes. Gomes has been developing the project for over three years, crafting an adult comedy about sex and love that explores how time reshapes feelings and relationships. Set in Rio de Janeiro, the film looks beyond the familiar postcard image of Ipanema to examine how people preserve the emotions of a first encounter while acknowledging that neither partner remains fixed over time. No production start date has been announced.
