One Fine Day

One Fine Day is a Malaysian drama feature in development from director Tan Seng Kiat, with veteran filmmaker Sylvia Chang serving as executive producer. The project explores how a family navigates ordinary routines after devastating loss, focusing on a father obsessed with finding his daughter's killer, a mother seeking solace in religion, and a teenage son burdened by an unspoken secret. The film draws from a real child murder case in Malaysia, but centers on the family's aftermath rather than the investigation itself. Tan has been developing the project for over five years, with producers Elyce Chin, Lim Shu Jia, and E. N. Lee attached as a Malaysia-Taiwan co-production. The team is currently at Busan's Asian Project Market seeking co-producers, financing, and pre-sales partners. The project previously won the APM Next prize at TCCF 2025.
