Project Summary
Coltrane is a five-episode virtual reality noir series currently in post-production and quality assurance ahead of its global release in Q4 2026. The immersive thriller is a co-production between Byron Bay and Los Angeles-based XR studio New Canvas, Australian production house Jacaranda Productions, and ByteDance-owned XR company PICO. Diana Glenn stars as and voices the lead role of Veronica Coltrane while also serving as executive producer alongside Sarah Goodes for Jacaranda Productions. Nathan Anderson serves as showrunner, with directors Sarah Goodes and Damian Walshe-Howling helming the project. The series was developed by lead writer Jenevieve Chang, with Fiona Kelly as writer, Wei Guo as production designer, and Ellen Jurik as narrative games designer. Principal photography took place in Melbourne at the Victorian College of the Arts' LED Volume Studio, with additional shooting in Hong Kong. The series will be released in both English and Mandarin, combining live-action performance with real-time immersive environments and branching narrative gameplay.
