Untitled Bridgerton Lady Violet Prequel

Netflix has greenlit a limited prequel series chronicling the courtship and romance between Lady Violet Ledger and Viscount Edmund Bridgerton. The project reunites Shonda Rhimes with her Queen Charlotte collaborator Nicholas Nardini, who will co-write, showrun, and executive produce the series. Tom Verica returns as director and executive producer, with Betsy Beers also executive producing for Shondaland. The untitled series follows the same limited-series format established by Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, exploring how Violet and Edmund's marriage laid the foundation for the eight Bridgerton children whose romances anchor the main series. No cast has been announced yet. The prequel is based on Julia Quinn's novella Violet in Bloom, which details the matriarch's early life, romance, and Edmund's eventual death from a bee sting.
