Project Summary
The Family Table is a Korean drama from director Lee Hanju currently in early development at the Asian Project Market within Busan International Film Festival's ACFM. The project centers on Gyu-seong, a peaceable father who takes legal action after his daughter is bullied at school, only to find the prolonged fight wearing down his family's finances and relationships. Producer Kang Jeongwon is attached to the character-driven social drama. A first draft screenplay is complete and being developed further, with the team seeking co-production partners, sales agents, and investors at APM. The production is targeting a start date in the second half of 2027, with Lee and the team open to international co-production and potentially relocating the story outside Korea to explore how families isolate under institutional pressure.
