Welcome To Catalina is in development at HBO Max, adapting Michael Connelly's 2024 bestselling novel Nightshade. David E. Kelley is writing and executive producing the police procedural, which follows Los Angeles County Sheriff's Detective Stilwell, who has been exiled to a low-key posting policing rustic Catalina Island. While handling routine drunk-and-disorderlies and petty thefts, Stilwell discovers a body weighed down at the bottom of the harbor, pulling him into a larger investigation. The project is being developed under HBO Max's drama procedural model—the same framework used by the Emmy-winning medical drama The Pitt—which is designed for shows that return annually with fifteen-episode seasons and moderate budgets. Kelley executive produces alongside Matt Tinker of David E. Kelley Productions, with The Lincoln Lawyer team Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson of A+E Studios, Ross Fineman of Ross Fineman Entertainment, and Connelly himself also producing. HBO Max is the lead studio, with A+E Studios serving as co-studio.

Yellowjacket Summer is a horror feature adaptation in development at Coin Operated, the production banner founded by Gary Dauberman. Based on Robert R. McCammon's 1986 short story originally published in Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone Magazine, the project has Daniel Kraus adapting the screenplay. Kraus, who won the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel Angel Down, brings experience in genre storytelling through collaborations with Guillermo del Toro and George A. Romero. Dauberman will produce alongside Mia Maniscalco, president of Coin Operated, which operates under a first-look deal with Sony Pictures and Screen Gems. The story centers on a family terrorized by a supernatural swarm in rural Georgia. No director is currently attached, and the project remains in early development as Kraus scripts the adaptation.

You're Killing Me returns for a six-episode second season on Acorn TV, continuing the murder mystery series that made history as the platform's biggest launch ever. Created by Robin Bernheim and starring Brooke Shields as bestselling novelist Allie Chandler, alongside Amalia Williamson and Tom Cavanagh, the series will once again be set in the fictional Maine town of Founder's Cove.
