The Things We Leave Unfinished

The Things We Leave Unfinished has secured director Thea Sharrock, marking a significant step forward in Lionsgate's feature adaptation of Rebecca Yarros' bestselling romance novel. Sharrock, whose credits include the romantic drama Me Before You, will helm the dual-timeline story following a woman who returns to the Rockies after a devastating divorce to complete her great-grandmother's unfinished WWII manuscript. Todd Lieberman produces through Hidden Pictures, the banner behind Lionsgate's The Housemaid. Arash Amel adapted the screenplay. The novel interweaves contemporary and wartime love stories as past secrets surface. Yarros executive produces through Full Measures Productions, joined by Amel through The Amel Company, along with Alex Young and Carly Kleinbart Elter from Hidden Pictures. The project is overseen by Lionsgate's Scott O'Brien and Maria Ascanio. With a director now attached, the production moves closer to active development.
