Rose Moon

Rose Moon reunites Gabourey Sidibe with dramatic leading-role territory for the first time since her Oscar-nominated turn in Precious. The Southern Gothic psychological drama, directed by Daniel Peddle, follows a North Carolina probation officer drawn into a dangerous relationship that places everything at risk. Based on a true story, the film explores loneliness, desire, power, and identity through the perspective of a middle-aged Black woman experiencing a late-life sexual awakening. Sidibe serves as both star and executive producer, having collaborated closely with Peddle on the screenplay development. Production is set to begin in Georgia this year, with Tyler Stephenson producing for Coffee Robot alongside Anton Palmér and Brian Pendleton for Drama Kween Productions, and Wellington Love for w/Love Productions. Casting is being handled by Ryan Tymensky.
