Someone Else's Husband

Someone Else's Husband is being developed as a limited series by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment, based on Kimberly McCreight's 2026 novel. The psychological thriller follows Gretchen Falk, whose seemingly perfect marriage begins to crumble when her husband Richard embarks on a climbing expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro and has an affair with artist Frankie Callahan. When Frankie is murdered weeks later and Richard becomes the prime suspect, Gretchen must confront uncomfortable truths about her marriage. McCreight will co-write the adaptation and executive produce alongside 3 Arts Partner Erwin Stoff, who also produces Netflix's The Hunting Wives and Fox's Doc. The team plans to attach a showrunner and shop the project to networks and streamers soon. Courtney Mock, SVP of Scripted Development at Lionsgate Television, is overseeing the development.
