Project Summary
That Texas Blood is a drama series in development at FX, adapted from the critically acclaimed Image Comics series by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips. Jim Mickle and E. L. Katz are writing and executive producing, with Mickle also attached to direct. The project reunites the duo following their collaboration on Hap and Leonard, which ran for three seasons on Sundance TV. Described as Cormac McCarthy meets John Carpenter, the series follows an aging sheriff in a fictional West Texas county as violence and dark secrets from the past surface. 20th Television is producing, with additional executive producers including Michael Waldron, Adam Fasullo, Adam Fishbach, Jeremy Platt, Linda Moran, and original comic creator Chris Condon. Jacob Phillips will serve as co-executive producer. No production timeline or release date has been announced.
