Untitled Martin Scorsese Hawaii Crime Drama
Project Summary
Martin Scorsese is developing an untitled Hawaii-set crime drama for 20th Century Studios, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Dwayne Johnson, and Emily Blunt attached to star. The project, based on the true story of Wilford 'Nappy' Pulawa and the organized crime syndicate known as The Company, is currently undergoing major script revisions by writer Nick Bilton. Scorsese will produce through Sikelia Productions alongside Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions, DiCaprio's Appian Way Productions, and Blunt's Ledbury Productions. The fact-based story centers on a formidable mob boss who builds the islands' most powerful criminal empire during the turbulent 1960s and 1970s, described as being in the mold of Goodfellas and The Departed. A revised script is expected to be submitted to 20th Century Studios in mid-2026, with potential for the project to be fast-tracked upon greenlight. The film would shoot on location in Hawaii.
