Disney+ is the flagship direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service owned and operated by Disney Streaming, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, and serves as the exclusive streaming home for content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, and ESPN. Launched on November 12, 2019, the platform has grown into one of the world's top SVOD services. As of 2026, the service is actively bundling Hulu and ESPN programming into a unified app experience under co-presidents Joe Earley and Adam Smith, competing directly with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube.
