The Dallergut Dream Department Store

Disney Live Action is developing a feature adaptation of The Dallergut Dream Department Store, the bestselling Korean fantasy novel by Miye Lee. Patrick Ness, known for his work on A Monster Calls, has been tapped to write the screenplay. The project is based on the first book in Lee's trilogy, which has sold over 2 million copies across more than 20 territories worldwide. The story centers on Penny, a young woman who secures a coveted position at a magical establishment where customers purchase dreams, only to find herself investigating mysterious and dangerous occurrences affecting the store's clientele. EVP of Production Jessica Virtue is overseeing the project for Disney Live Action. The adaptation remains in early development with no director, cast, or production timeline announced yet.
