Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush confirmed the project is currently in production at Walt Disney Animation Studios, describing it as a complete story rather than a collection of shorts. The special will be released on Disney+, though no premiere date has been announced. Bush characterized the project as "pretty spectacular" and noted it represents Disney Animation's approach to revisiting worlds that resonate with audiences.
