Halloweentown 5

Halloweentown 5 is in early development at Disney Channel and Disney+, marking the franchise's return twenty years after Return to Halloweentown premiered in 2006. Writers Lily Houghton and Ryan Koehn are developing the script based on characters created by Paul Bernbaum, who wrote the original 1998 film. Houghton recently wrote the horror comedy Forbidden Fruits and produced Netflix's upcoming YA horror series The Body, while Koehn served as a staff writer on the Gossip Girl reboot and has credits including The Mad Whale and Homeschooled. The project has not yet been greenlit, and casting has not been confirmed, though multiple original cast members have previously expressed interest in returning. If greenlit, the film will air on Disney Channel and stream on Disney+, joining Disney's Halloween collection alongside Hocus Pocus and Twitches.
