Project Summary
Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu is a stop-motion animated series currently in production at Aardman in Bristol, with a 2027 premiere planned for Disney+ and Disney XD worldwide. The project pairs The Pokémon Company International with the British studio behind Wallace & Gromit, bringing Aardman's signature stop-motion craft to the Pokémon universe. Director Tom Parkinson leads the creative team alongside Creative Director Nat McKay and Model Making Creative Lead James Young. The series follows the titular characters—a determined knight-like Sirfetch'd and his squire Pichu—on their journey through the Galar region. Production is underway at Aardman's Bristol facilities, where the studio is hand-crafting puppets, sets, and animation for the show's 2027 debut.
