Darkwing Duck

Darkwing Duck returns to Disney+ in an all-new animated series that continues the story of the iconic crime-fighting superhero. The revival comes from executive producers Sean Tretta and Borja Peña Gorostegui, with Point Grey Pictures producing alongside Disney Television Animation. Mark Hamill voices Drake Mallard, the ego-fueled vigilante behind the Darkwing persona, while Seth Rogen takes on the role of loyal sidekick Launchpad McQuack. The voice ensemble also includes Lizzy Caplan as Gosalyn Mallard, Lilimar as Duckie, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, and Nat Faxon. Original series creator Tad Stones consulted on the new iteration. The series picks up 35 years after the original show, with Darkwing trapped in an alternate world until a rebellious teen who knows his heroic past pulls him back into battle against familiar foes like Negaduck and Megavolt. The project was greenlit in September 2026 and is currently in production, though no premiere date has been announced.
