Project Summary
A Glee revival is officially moving forward at Disney+ and Hulu, with original creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan reuniting to write the new series. 20th Television, which produced the original 2009-15 Fox series, is producing. Murphy completed a script in late 2024 and has been in contact with approximately ten members of the original cast, who expressed enthusiasm about returning. The revival comes as the original series continues to find new audiences on streaming, drawing about 4 million monthly Spotify listeners. No production timeline, cast, or filming locations have been announced, but the series order marks a concrete step toward bringing the musical franchise back to screens.
