Untitled Sleeping Beauty Project

Director Dan Trachtenberg is developing an original film inspired by Disney's Sleeping Beauty, marking a departure from his recent work on the Predator franchise. The project is in early development at Disney Live Action, with Trachtenberg and Rayna McClendon creating the story and Alex Anfanger and Dan Schimpf writing the screenplay. The film will take the classic fairy tale in an entirely new direction and has no connection to the Maleficent films. Trachtenberg will produce alongside his longtime partner Ben Rosenblatt and Star Wars producer Michelle Rejwan, with Disney Live Action president Daria Cercek overseeing. Plot details remain under wraps as the creative team develops this fresh take on the beloved Disney property.
