Paramount Pictures Corporation is one of Hollywood's 'Big Five' major studios and the world's sixth-oldest film studio, founded in 1912 and now a flagship subsidiary of Paramount Skydance Corporation following the August 7, 2025 merger of Paramount Global and Skydance Media under Chairman and CEO David Ellison. With a library of more than 1,200 owned film titles and rights to an additional 2,800, Paramount produces and distributes theatrical films under its flagship label and sublabels including Paramount Animation, Paramount Players, and Nickelodeon Movies, while its parent company oversees CBS, Paramount+, Pluto TV, MTV, Nickelodeon, and BET. The last major film studio still headquartered within the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, Paramount is home to iconic franchises including Mission: Impossible, Transformers, Star Trek, Top Gun, Sonic the Hedgehog, and A Quiet Place, and is a member of the Motion Picture Association (MPA).
