Project Summary
Peter Guillam, former colleague and disciple of George Smiley (Macfadyen) in the British Secret Service (the Circus), is quietly retired in Brittany when summoned to London. His Cold War past—including operations involving Alec Leamas, Jim Prideaux, Smiley, and himself—is under scrutiny by a new generation indifferent to its complexities.
