The Final Girl Support Group

Paramount Pictures is developing a feature film adaptation of Grady Hendrix's New York Times bestselling novel The Final Girl Support Group, with Christopher Landon attached to write and direct. Landon, known for his work on the Happy Death Day franchise, Freaky, and the Paranormal Activity films, reunites with Hendrix after producing the author's My Best Friend's Exorcism. The project will be produced by Andy and Barbara Muschietti through their Double Dream label, along with Adam Goldworm's Aperture Entertainment. The novel follows a group of final girls—survivors of real-life slasher massacres that inspired horror film franchises—who meet regularly in therapy, only to discover someone is targeting them for elimination. Hendrix will serve as executive producer on the adaptation.
