Star Trek (Untitled Goldstein/Daley Film)

Paramount Pictures is developing a new Star Trek feature film with directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the team behind Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Spider-Man: Homecoming. The project marks a fresh start for the franchise, featuring entirely new characters in a timeline set beyond the 32nd century explored in Star Trek: Discovery and Starfleet Academy. Goldstein and Daley are writing and will direct the film, producing through their GoldDay banner in partnership with Paramount and Skydance. At San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026, the directors confirmed the script is in progress and that the story will explore a different corner of the Star Trek universe further into the future than the franchise has previously ventured. With no cast attached and the screenplay still being written, the project remains in early development with no production start date announced.
