Project Summary
Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are writing, directing, and producing a new Star Trek feature film for Paramount Pictures. The project marks a fresh start for the franchise, featuring an entirely new cast of characters and set in a time period further in the future than any previous Star Trek film or series. The duo, known for their work on Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Spider-Man: Homecoming, are producing through their GoldDay banner. The script is currently in progress, with plot details being kept under wraps. This film is not connected to the previous Kelvin Timeline movies starring Chris Pine, nor to any current Star Trek television series. The project represents Paramount's latest effort to revitalize the Star Trek film franchise after nearly a decade without a theatrical release.
