Project Summary
The Midnight Library is a fantasy drama feature based on Matt Haig's bestselling 2020 novel. Garth Davis directs from a screenplay by Laura Wade and Nick Payne, with Florence Pugh starring as Nora Seed and producing alongside Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin of Blueprint Pictures. Studiocanal is backing the project with Paramount Pictures handling North American distribution. The film is scheduled to enter pre-production in autumn 2026, with principal photography beginning early 2027 in London, the Cotswolds, and other locations across Europe. Haig serves as executive producer on the adaptation, which Paramount acquired for $36 million at the 2026 Cannes Film Market.
