HBO Max

HBO Max is the premier global streaming platform from Warner Bros. Discovery, originally launched in May 2020 and known for anchoring its identity around the HBO brand of prestige scripted programming, blockbuster films, documentaries, and Max Originals. After briefly rebranding to 'Max' in May 2023 to incorporate broader Discovery content, WBD announced in May 2025 the restoration of the 'HBO Max' name, citing consumer data and the enduring strength of the HBO brand. The service, available in the US and across dozens of international territories, houses content from HBO, DC, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and numerous other brands, and has added approximately 22 million subscribers globally in the year leading up to mid-2025.
