Girls (Limited Series Revival)

Girls is returning to HBO for a five-episode limited series, marking the first new episodes since the show concluded its six-season run in 2017. Creator and showrunner Lena Dunham returns alongside the core cast: Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, and Andrew Rannells. The revival will shift focus from the characters' tumultuous twenties to their forties, exploring how Hannah, Marnie, Jessa, Shoshanna, and Elijah have evolved in the decade since viewers last saw them. Judd Apatow returns as executive producer via Apatow Productions, alongside Ilene S. Landress and Michael P. Cohen from Dunham's Good Thing Going banner. Williams, Kirke, Mamet, and Rannells serve as co-executive producers. Production is scheduled to begin in 2027, with filming expected to take place in New York City, where the original series was set and filmed.
