Mo Hunt

Mo Hunt is a hybrid documentary from Estonian writer-director Eeva Mägi, currently in post-production with an expected completion date of May 2027. The project is backed by the Estonian Film Institute, the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, and HBO Max through an SVOD licence. Eeva Mägi and Sten-Johan Lill are producing through Kinosaurus Film and Kultuurikuur, with a total budget of 151,000 EUR. The film blurs the boundaries between fiction and documentary to examine when the use of another person's emotional vulnerability crosses the line into exploitation. The film was shot in Tallinn and on Vilsandi Island, Saaremaa, during the summers of 2025 and 2026. Key crew includes Sten-Johan Lill as director of photography, Jette-Krõõt Keedus as editor, and Ann Reimann as sound designer. The project was presented at the PÖFF Goes to Cannes showcase and is being created by the Mo Movement filmmaking collective.
