Project Summary
The Spread has secured a straight-to-series order at HBO following a competitive bidding war among major streamers. The drama series stars and is executive produced by Javier Bardem, with Ozark co-creator Bill Dubuque and Sean Sansiveri writing and executive producing. Matthew Vaughn, known for the Kingsman films and Layer Cake, will direct and executive produce in what marks his first television series. Set in Miami's emerging "Wall Street South" landscape, the series explores the collision of hedge fund wealth, industry titans, ruthless ambition, and power on an industrial scale. The project is a co-production between HBO and Fifth Season TV Studio, with additional executive producers including Brad Weston for Makeready and Ian Stratford and Michael Bloom for Topic Studios.
