Untitled Tor Series

HBO Max has greenlit development of an untitled drama series inspired by the true story of Tor, a small mountain hamlet in the Catalan Pyrenees where three unsolved murders occurred between the 1980s and 1995. Goya Award-winning screenwriters Fran Araújo and Eduard Sola are writing the series, which will revisit the events and legends surrounding the case. Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, whose film La Bola Negra won the Best Director prize at Cannes and is Spain's 2027 Oscar entry, are executive producing through their company Suma Content in collaboration with journalist Carles Porta and Luminol Media. The series is being developed as an ambitious multi-decade narrative where the Pyrenees landscape and natural setting play a central role alongside character-driven storytelling. The project is currently in the development phase with no production timeline announced yet.
