Untitled Gilmore Girls Documentary

An untitled documentary about Gilmore Girls is currently in production for HBO Max, marking the first authorized film about the beloved series that ran from 2000 to 2007. Director Bonni Cohen helms the project, which is being produced by This Machine Filmworks in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted Television. The documentary features interviews with series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, her husband and executive producer Daniel Palladino, and star Lauren Graham, along with additional key cast and crew members yet to be announced. The film will include never-before-seen outtakes, behind-the-scenes footage, and script pages, offering an insider view into how the show became a cross-generational phenomenon. Executive producers include R. J. Cutler, Jane Cha Cutler, the Palladinos, Mark Blatty, Elise Pearlstein, and Trevor Smith, with Cohen and Melissa Robledo serving as producers.
