Defence Line – Gaza

Defence Line – Gaza is an action-thriller from director Alessandro Tonda entering pre-production for a summer 2026 shoot. The film follows an Italian intelligence analyst and a former special forces operative working for AISE (Italian External Intelligence and Security Agency) as they coordinate a high-risk operation to evacuate wounded Palestinian children from a Gaza hospital. Rai Cinema is producing alongside Rome-based MasiFilm, with participation from HBO Max. The cast includes Sara Serraiocco as an intelligence analyst, Stefano Accorsi as a special forces veteran, and Vinicio Marchioni commanding an elite commando unit. The production has been developed in collaboration with Italy's Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Department of Information and Security, AISE, and the Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs. The film will be shot in Italian, English, and Arabic. 01 Distribution will handle theatrical release in Italy, with Rai Cinema International Distribution managing international sales.
