Project Summary
Mister Miracle is an eight-episode adult animated series for HBO Max, currently in production at Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios. Tom King serves as showrunner and sole writer, adapting his Eisner Award-winning 12-issue comic series with artist Mitch Gerads. Josh Hutcherson voices Scott Free (Mister Miracle), with Mackenzie Davis as Big Barda. The series follows the renowned escape artist as war erupts between the planets Apokolips and New Genesis, threatening the life Scott and Barda have built on Earth. King, who also co-created the upcoming Lanterns series for HBO, wrote all eight episodes himself. The show is part of the DC Universe franchise and is expected to premiere in 2027, marking the second adult-animated series from DC Studios following Creature Commandos.
