Apple Studios LLC is an American film and television production company wholly owned by Apple Inc., incorporated in October 2019 to develop and produce original scripted and unscripted content exclusively for Apple TV+. The studio releases content under the 'Apple Original Series' and 'Apple Original Films' banners, and beginning in 2023 began partnering with major theatrical distributors including Paramount, Sony, Universal, and Warner Bros. Pictures for wide theatrical releases. Led by co-heads of worldwide video Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht under SVP of Services Eddy Cue, it achieved the historic distinction of being the first streaming service to win a Best Picture Oscar (CODA, 2022), has earned a company-record 22 Primetime Emmy wins in 2025, and produced the highest-grossing original film of 2025 (F1, $633M+ worldwide).
