Protective Custody

Protective Custody is a comedy series in development at Apple TV+ from Mike Judge, Steve Hely, and Dave King. Ben Stiller is attached to star as the embattled financier and will executive produce through his Red Hour production banner alongside John Lesher. Judge, Hely, and King serve as co-writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers, with Judge also set to direct. The project reunites the Common Side Effects creative team and hails from Apple Studios, Red Hour, Propagate Content, and 3 Arts Entertainment. Additional executive producers include Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, and Rodney Ferrell for Propagate Content; Michael Rotenberg and Oly Obst for 3 Arts Entertainment; and documentary filmmaker Nanette Burstein. The series originated as a pitch from Propagate Content and is being positioned as a priority development project for Apple as they expand their comedy slate.
