Widow's Bay (Season 2)

Widow's Bay returns for a second season on Apple TV+, with creator and showrunner Katie Dippold leading the writers' room that opened in late July 2026. The horror-comedy series stars Matthew Rhys as Mayor Tom Loftis and is executive produced by Hiro Murai, who directed five episodes of the first season alongside directors Ti West, Sam Donovan, and Andrew DeYoung. Production companies include Chum Films, Spooky Tree Productions, and Apple Studios. The first season filmed in Massachusetts in June 2025, and the writers' room is scheduled to run for 20 weeks with production targeted to begin in early 2027. Following its April 2026 debut, the series earned 19 Emmy nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series and has become one of Apple TV+'s biggest hits of the year.
