Project Summary
Jennifer's Body 2 is in development at 20th Century Studios, with Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody having completed the script for the sequel to the 2009 cult classic. Director Karyn Kusama is attached to return, along with original stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried expected to reprise their roles as Jennifer Check and Needy Lesnicki. Cody has described the sequel as exploring a more sympathetic take on Jennifer's character, emphasizing the loneliness and poignancy beneath the supernatural horror. Production Weekly has listed Vancouver as a potential filming location, though the studio has not yet officially greenlit the project or announced a production schedule. The sequel represents a reunion of the original creative team nearly two decades after the first film, which has since gained recognition as a feminist horror classic.
