Warhammer 40,000 (Animated Series)

Amazon MGM Studios is developing an animated Warhammer 40,000 event series in partnership with Blur Studios and Games Workshop. The project serves as a spinoff of the Secret Level anthology series, which featured a Warhammer 40,000 episode when it debuted in late 2024. Dave Wilson, who directed that episode and served as supervising director on Secret Level, is co-creating and directing the new series alongside writer John Orloff, known for his work on Masters of the Air and Band of Brothers. Henry Cavill, who is attached to star in and executive produce a separate live-action Warhammer 40,000 series at Amazon, joins as executive producer on the animated project. Tim Miller of Blur Studios, Natalie Viscuso, Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment, and Andy Smillie of Games Workshop round out the executive producer roster. The series will center on the Deathwatch, exploring the elite Space Marines faction within the expansive Warhammer 40,000 universe. Both the animated and live-action Warhammer projects are being developed in parallel for Prime Video.
