Cartoon Cat

Cartoon Cat has found a home at TriStar Pictures following a competitive acquisition. The horror project is based on Trevor Henderson's viral internet artwork, which depicts an ancient entity that uses human awareness and memories of vintage animation as a pathway into our reality. Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Scott Glassgold, and J. Todd Harris are producing, with Thomas Pettinelli and Marc Marcum also attached. TriStar executives Nicole Brown and Malcolm Gray are overseeing the fast-tracked development as the studio actively searches for a filmmaker to bring the project to life. Henderson previously collaborated with Sony Pictures on concept art for Screen Gems' Tarot, and this deal follows closely on the heels of Warner Bros. securing rights to Henderson's Siren Head in a major bidding war.
