Skydance Media

Skydance Media was a diversified media production and financing company founded by David Ellison in 2006 and headquartered in Santa Monica, California, known for blockbuster co-productions including the Mission: Impossible franchise, Top Gun: Maverick, and premium TV series such as Reacher, Foundation, and Jack Ryan. The company operated across feature film, television (Skydance Television), animation (Skydance Animation), interactive/games (Skydance Interactive), new media (Skydance New Media), and sports (Skydance Sports). On August 7, 2025, Skydance completed its $8 billion merger with Paramount Global, forming Paramount Skydance Corporation with David Ellison as Chairman and CEO; the Skydance brand and its divisions continue operating within the new entity. Prior to the merger, Skydance had grown to over 500 employees across two continents and held a landmark multi-year first-look deal with Apple Original Films.
