Untitled Matt Johnson Film

Matt Johnson is back behind the camera for a true-crime feature inspired by the 2019 arrest of Yaroslav Pastukhov, a former Vice Canada music editor who allegedly used the media company's Toronto offices to recruit drug mules for an international cocaine trafficking ring. Finn Wolfhard stars as the Canadian investigative journalist who helped break the National Post story that exposed the scheme. Johnson directs from his own screenplay, with Zapruder Films producing in association with Rhombus Media and financing from Telefilm Canada. Neon has acquired worldwide rights and will release the film theatrically in the United States, with Elevation Pictures handling Canadian distribution. The project reunites Johnson with Neon following the recent theatrical run of Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie. Production details including start dates and filming locations have not yet been announced.
