Vice Media Group LLC is a Canadian-American digital media, broadcasting, and content production company founded in 1994, originally as a Montreal punk magazine. Following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in May 2023 and subsequent $350 million acquisition by a consortium of Fortress Investment Group, Soros Capital Management, and Monroe Capital, Vice restructured into four core divisions: Vice Studios (film/TV production), Vice Sports/Vice TV (cable network joint venture with A&E), Vice Commercials (Pulse Films + London Alley), Vice News, and ad agency Virtue. Under new CEO Adam Stotsky and Studios President Amy Powell, Vice is pursuing an IP-driven, studio-centric growth strategy backed by a $75 million production credit facility, with ITV Studios as its exclusive global distribution partner.
