The Magic Faraway Tree 2 & 3
Project Summary
Neal Street Productions and Elysian Film Group are moving forward with two sequels to The Magic Faraway Tree, the 2026 family fantasy adaptation that grossed $20 million in UK-Ireland and over $10 million in Australia-New Zealand. Writer Simon Farnaby is now scripting the next installment, loosely based on characters created by Enid Blyton, with director Ben Gregor returning alongside financier Ashland Hill Media Finance. Malta will return as a key filming location, with the main cast—Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, and Rebecca Ferguson—expected to reprise their roles. Producers Pippa Harris and Danny Perkins are eyeing a 2027 shoot and considering filming both sequels back-to-back. Palisades Park Pictures is handling international sales discussions at Cannes.
